Jane's Guide Here's all the help you need to use Jane.

Teleplan

  • 8C and 11C Chiropractic Reports - Teleplan

Jane can accommodate the electronic submission of Chiropractic Reports 8C and 11C. Here’s how to do that:

  • Adding a Note to a Teleplan Claim

Sometimes filling in all the required boxes doesn’t tell the whole story. When you need to give a little more detail, you can add a Note to any Teleplan claim. Here’s how that looks:

  • Adding Your Data Centre to Jane

If you already have a password you use that is not the temporary one Teleplan assigns you, skip to Step 2.

  • Billing MSP Through Teleplan

If you’re practicing in BC, you should be eligible to submit your MSP claims online via Teleplan.

  • Billing to WorkSafe BC - Physiotherapy

If you’re practicing in BC, you should be eligible to submit your WorkSafe BC claims online via Teleplan.

  • Billing to WorkSafe BC – Chiropractic

If you’re practicing in BC, you should be eligible to submit your Worksafe BC claims and Chiropractic Reports 8C and 11C online via our Teleplan integration.

  • Booking and Billing No Charge WSBC (WCB) Subsequent Visits

Some disciplines have block payment agreements with WSBC. You’ll want to record and track these subsequent visits without sending anything in to WSBC.

  • Debit Request (Return Payment to Teleplan)

To return these payments made through Teleplan, you’ll need to submit a Debit Request for each payment. A Debit Request is the process through which the payment made onto a claim is refunded back to the insurer (ICBC, WSBC or MSP).

  • Editing an Invoice with Payment Already Applied

If a payment has already been received and applied, here’s what you can do to change the amount charged. Alternatively, head here to Change the Payment Method

  • Favourite Teleplan Codes

Jane pulls in the directory of codes every morning, so if there is an update to a price or addition of new codes they will be automatically updated for you.

  • Sending Teleplan Claims

So you’ve added your Teleplan Data Center to Jane and have just had your first MSP eligible client in for a treatment, or maybe it was a WSBC claim. You’ve added the policy and billing code to the booking, now what? How do you actually get that claim to Teleplan? And what if you made an error? Wh...

  • Signing Up for Teleplan

To register for Teleplan, you’ll need to register your location as a “Data Centre”.  You can either sign up as a Solo Practice or you can get a Clinic Number.  To begin this process, submit an Opted Out Enrolment Form (Supplementary Benefits Providers - e.g. Physiotherapy, Massage Therapy, Chirop...

  • Teleplan Diagnostic Codes (Area of Treatment)

When you’re submitting claims to Teleplan, in addition to requiring a Billing Code, you also need to ensure that each billing code is accompanied by an appropriate Diagnostic Code - the area of the body that was treated.

  • Teleplan Late Submission Reason Code

If you are submitting claims beyond 90 days old Teleplan will not accept them without something called a “Late Submission Reason”.

  • Teleplan Status - Opted In Versus Opted Out

The language here can be a bit tricky but there’s a few things to keep in mind when determining if you as a practitioner should be set to Opted In, Soft Opted Out, or Hard Opted Out.

  • Teleplan Transition

If you are already billing Teleplan within BC for MSP or WSBC claims there will be claims that you have billed in your old system before moving to Jane.

  • Compensating Multiple Practitioners for Block Billing

In cases where you’ve got practitioners sharing patients, or helping each other out to cover vacations etc. you will need to bill the block itself under the practitioner who provided the treatment/appointment on the date that the block is required to be billed, but then split the total block paym...

  • Billing for Photocopies / Records to WSBC

When it comes to billing WSBC through Teleplan for things like clinical record requests and/or reports that are billed when patients don’t have an appointment booked, you can bill for a “product” to the patient and attach a WSBC claim to it. From there, you’ll be able to add the applicable fee co...
