Sometimes practitioners need a little extra time between appointments, whether it’s to prepare for the next patient or just to take a breather. Jane offers a couple of different ways to automatically add post treatment time to appointments: The first method applies to all appointments scheduled with a specific practitioner, and the second method applies to all appointments for a particular treatment.
First Method: Setting post treatment time for a specific practitioner
Here’s how to add a pre-determined length of post treatment time to all appointments scheduled with a specific practitioner.
Click the Staff tab to display the Staff View
- Select the staff member from the Staff List on the left
Underneath the Staff profile panel, click the “Edit” button
Select the “Settings” tab
Under “Post Treatment Time”, select the desired length of time to add to all treatments
If this preference is set, the scheduled duration will be ignored on your treatments, and the duration will be calculated as the “Treatment Duration” + this “Post Treatment” time
Second Method: Building post treatment time into treatments
This will automatically add post treatment time to all instances of a specific treatment. For shared treatments, the post treatment time will apply for all practitioners who use it.
Click the “Staff” tab to display the Staff View
- Select your name from the Staff List on the left
Select the “Treatments” tab
- From “My Treatments”, click the treatment you’d like to edit
Please note: if you’re needing to edit “Shared Treatments”, a staff member with Full Access on the Jane account will need to set this within Settings > Treatments & Classes
In the Edit Treatment window, you’ll see options for both Treatment Duration and Scheduled Duration. To add post-treatment time, simply set the Scheduled Duration to be longer than the Treatment Duration
You can also allow scheduled appointments for specific treatments to overlap by making the Scheduled Duration shorter than the Treatment Duration.
That’s all there is to it!
